Saint Sophia Cathedral, originally built by Yaraslov the Wise in 1037. It has been damaged many times over the centuries, but most recently rebuilt in the 17th century.

This is the Kiev Ballet and Operahouse. It is located downtown and we celebrated Corrie Mae's 6th birthday by taking her to see Tchaikovsky's ballet, Swan Lake.

On the grounds of the gardens is an orthodox church. We visited inside, which was just as beautiful as the outside. We were not permitted to take pictures however.

This is a kiosk about 3 minutes from our apartment. You can purchase everything from soda and candy bars to chips and phone cards.
