This was not a very busy month for us, as Monica continued to recover from her surgery last month. One big piece of news was that Mark's sister Laura completed her radiation treatments. Pray that God would continue to keep her healthy and that the cancer would not return. Mark was involved in a few ministy-related activites, and of course, there was the Thanksgiving holiday. So enjoy a seeing a small glimpse of our family during November.

The Matthias Family > Mark enjoyed traveling to Naperville to meet with Alex Zhdan, a missions pastor at Harvest Bible Chapel. Alex was born in Russia and has been serving at Harvest for several years. We enjoyed sharing our passions for missions, and Alex also described Harvest's upcoming church plant in Moscow.

The Matthias Family > Mark and Monica continue to volunteer at their local church's (Suburban Bible Church) Awana program. Each week, kids from all ages attend this program where they work hard to learn Bible verses, have a craft time and enjoy a fun-filled gym time. The Matthias Family > We had a rather small gathering for Thanksgiving dinner this year. Monica prepared a wonderful meal for our family, Mark's sister Laura, and her sister's family who traveled down from Madison, WI.
