May '08 - The Matthias Family's Photos

Following God's plan on this journey is always an adventure! Since Mark's sister's breast cancer has returned and she will be undergoing chemotherapy, we have returned to the States to help her through this difficult process. We moved to Highland, IN, and spent the month settling in and re-adjusting to things here in America.

The Matthias Family > "Welcome to Indiana!!" Although we are now less than 2 hours from our old neighborhood in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, we have never lived in Indiana.

The Matthias Family > The main reason we returned to the States now rather than next Spring was to help Mark's sister go through chemotherapy for breast cancer. Here she waits for her first treatment to begin. (See our bio on the homepage for more details).

The Matthias Family > Mark and his father-in-law enjoy a night at the local short-track in Oregon, WI.

The Matthias Family > Duane especially enjoyed the night at the races since one of his favorite Nascar Sprint drivers, Kyle Busch, was also racing that night.

The Matthias Family > Caleb and Corrie Mae hard at work in our kitchen. They enjoy having their own special place for homeschool.

The Matthias Family > The kids were very excited to be able to get some of their bedroom furniture (and animals) that we had put in storage. And they were glad to have their own rooms as well.

The Matthias Family > Corrie Mae really enjoyed decorating her new room and adding some "girly" touches. ;)

The Matthias Family > Caleb is modeling for us the "Armor of God" (from Ephesians 6)which he ordered online and was so excited to finally receive.
