A baby is born, missions presentations, a trip to Chicago and Legos. That pretty much sums up the month of January for the Matthias family!

The Matthias Family > To help prepare for their upcoming Missions Emphasis Month, Mark presented on missions and Russia during worship services at Hillcrest Bible Church in Oregon, WI. Hillcrest is a supporting church which we love to visit whenever we are in the Madison, WI area.
The Matthias Family > Our family enjoyed a visit from our good friend, Jenni Myers, who is also a missionary with SEND International serving in Russia. Here, Monica and Jenni enjoy a visit to the Art Institute in downtown Chicago.

The Matthias Family > Mark and Caleb spent a few nights together building a Lego Star Wars Republic Cruiser (918 pieces). Caleb bought it with the allowance money he had saved up, along with using some Christmas money.

The Matthias Family > Following the Christmas holidays, Corrie enjoyed a visit to her friend, Ashley's house. Together with about 5 other girls, they each built a gingerbread house. Here, you can see Corrie Mae's creation!
The Matthias Family > One of the highlights of the month of January was the birth of Monica's neice, Ella Ann. She was 6 lbs, 13 oz. and 18 inches long. Here, her mom, Melody and her sister, Caitlin, hug little Ella.
