The Matthias Family  > Other > December '08
With the holidays here, there wasn't much happening with missions or visiting other churches. Our family spent the month enjoying the snow that finally arrived and celebrating the amazing gift of Christ's incarnation.

The Matthias Family > While in Wisconsin, Monica was able to help her sister Melody prepare for the upcoming birth of her baby by washing, sorting and putting away all sorts of baby things.
The Matthias Family > We also enjoyed our Christmas tradition of nightly readings together as part of Advent, the preparation for the coming of Christ as a child.
The Matthias Family > All he wanted for Christmas was his two front teeth....
The Matthias Family > We enjoyed a Christmas meal with our good friends the Rossi family. We first met them in Ukraine where they were also attending language school. Now our families live about 10 minutes from each other and often enjoy fun times together!
The Matthias Family > Our pastor at Suburban Bible Church asked Mark to organize a dramatic reading for the Christmas eve candlelight service. We had several practices and enjoyed reading together from Isaiah chapter 9.
